Caz Chisholm – Owner/Host
I am a passionate woman with a heart for justice. My empathy and understanding of women who have endured physical, mental and emotional difficulties has given me the drive to fight for those who are less able to fight for themselves. I truly care for my fellow women. I have had a few major setbacks during my 50 years that, at the time felt almost impossible to recover from. However, I have learnt so much about my capacity to endure, persevere and overcome regardless of my perceived limitations during those times in my life. In fact, because of those setbacks, I’m driven to creating a nurturing life for myself and I want to share that with others. I have created Kindred Women Retreats because it is an opportunity for me to share joy and happiness with other like minded women. We all need a holiday where self nurturing and self indulgence are our priority.
My determination to seek justice, led me on a 4.5 year journey to find help for women where there was none; those women who had surgical pelvic mesh implanted to treat their prolapse or their stress urinary incontinence and whose complications were not recognised by the medical profession. My campaign to help seriously injured women drew the attention of Senator Derryn Hinch and the use of pelvic mesh became the subject of a federal Senate inquiry.
The personal growth that I have experienced during these years has had a profound effect on every aspect of my life. I have embraced my empathy, listened wholeheartedly, faced many of my fears, stepped out of my comfort zone over and over, gained confidence in areas where I was lacking, and I have discovered my true passion – sharing the gift of finding joy in the midst of difficulty.
The retreats are designed for joy, pleasure, comfort and little bit of self indulgence (ok, maybe a lot!). I have chosen only the highest quality accommodation for hosts and guests only, and the tours are planned for the mornings and early afternoon, so guests can enjoy the relaxing afternoons and evenings at the exquisite retreats.
Warmest Regards, Caz

It has been an absolute pleasure to know Caz Chisholm and call her my friend. For almost 5 years Caz has worked tirelessly and selflessly to advocate for thousands of women to reveal the truth about the Mesh Atrocity not only throughout Australia but all over the world. With such dedication, passion and determination Caz has selflessly sacrificed everything to not only achieve a national awareness and a senate enquiry but also awareness throughout the world. – Natasha Rosiello
I honestly can’t thank Caz Chisholm enough and feel blessed to be her friend. I first met Caz 4.5 years ago, her friendship, help, advice and insight helped me more than i can put into words. Caz is a passionate woman, full of integrity. She has fought for justice for women, often to the detriment of her own health. She is committed, kind and caring, she gets things done! She has been an incredible advocate for mesh injured women, giving advice, information and giving women a voice, and has literally saved the lives of so many women. If it wasn’t for her determination, along with Senator Hinch, we would never have had a senate inquiry about transvaginal mesh. I wish her the absolute best in her new venture, Kindred Women Retreats, I know, along with everything else she has done, will be amazing. – Gai Thompson
I first met Caz 3 years ago at a meeting set up by Australian Pelvic Mesh Support Group because I had recently joined the group and wanted to support the cause. I quickly realised how compassionate, hardworking, dedicated and tenacious Caz was and am very fortunate to call her my friend. Caz had a pelvic mesh implant which immediately caused her severe complications. Caz launched the Australian Pelvic Mesh Support Group to warn other women about the dangers of having mesh implanted. She instigated media stories, including The Project which started an influx of injured women suffering in silence, to come forward. Through her strength and determination, she was instrumental in prompting a Senate Enquiry into Transvaginal Mesh and Related Matters giving hundreds of injured women a voice and as a result changing the way they are treated by the medical profession and spreading awareness throughout the world not just Australia. In recognition of her tireless efforts she was awarded 2 consumer advocacy awards in 2017. Caz is one of the most intelligent, capable, driven, empathetic and passionate women I have ever met whose deeds speak for themselves. Despite her own physical pain and sometimes trying personal circumstances Caz has always been an empathetic, loyal and caring friend who succeeds in everything she does. – Tina Thompkins
Caz Chisholm is a woman of deep integrity, who really cares for her fellow women, and who has an impressive track record as an advocate for mesh-injured women. Caz always sees the way forward to getting things done, and where her passions go, good outcomes follow! I can’t wait to see where this next phase of her support for women is going to take her, and I know she will create a safe and nurturing space for women to heal and move forward with their lives. – Pip Brennan
